Welcome to the mind-body revolution.

Our “church” is a place for shared growth and exploration. We are a multicultural community that explores the interconnectedness of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. We are fine-tuning our nervous systems. 

It is frustrating to experience symptoms that nobody can explain, especially when changes in our physical and mental health are influenced by much more than can be measured by a doctor. We live in a culture where it is common to experience symptoms of burnout, overwhelm and exhaustion. 

Body Church is different.

This is a safe place to reset your nervous system back to baseline. Our method uses cutting-edge embodiment techniques combined with creative expression to bring harmony to the body. Through the Body Church experience, you will feel more confident and relaxed in your relationships to yourself, others and the world. 


This is powerful stuff. Its real-world wisdom meets movement, with some deep soul work thrown in.

I’m Dr. Liz Letchford


I’m a researcher, clinician, performing artist and curious human being. I have spent over 17 years studying and practicing in the field of health and movement science. After working with thousands of people, including professional athletes and performers, I found that what we’ve been taught about the body and how it moves isn’t telling the whole story. So I decided to get curious.

I wondered what impact unprocessed emotions had on the physical body.

Then I experimented on myself.

As soon as I gave myself permission to feel, it all came flooding in. The overload on my nervous system led to burnout, big time. This difficult journey led to the need for a more harmonious approach to emotional and somatic unwinding.

I started applying the principles of tensegrity, biomechanics and fascial lines as I continued to unwind my entire mind, body and spirit. This was much gentler on my system and seeded the creation of the Letchford Spirokinetics Method.

Eventually, after many months of unwinding this way, my range of motion increased and I finally started moving freely without pain. My artistic expression emerged. My relationships improved and I found myself more joyful and filled with purpose. I finally felt like myself. I was no longer afraid to be me.

This sparked a deep desire for a community who was understanding of the difficult transition from numbing to feeling. I craved a place where other curious people were excited about improving their own body’s intelligence. So I built it!

Here at Body Church, we give one another space to go at the body’s pace. I’m so happy you’re here.
